Red Sock Day

Today at Winton School  we are having a red sock day to celebrate Sir Peter Blake after a very sad ending to him.  On 5 December 2001, pirates shot and killed Blake while he was on an environmental exploration trip in South America, monitoring global warming and pollution for the United Nations.

Doodle For Google

The past few weeks we have been looking at Doodle For Google , it is a competition for the whole of New Zealand where you create your own design for the New Zealand Google page.

Dot Art

Hi, this is my dot art we done it with Miss Young and the point of doing it was to make it look 3D. We made it by marking the sides of the paper each centimetre then we drew lines to each mark.

In Room 9 we have been doing Kapa Haka with Room's 10 and 11. It has been really fun facing the Boys doing the Haka and our Song's that we are doing in PolyFest. Here are the Song's   we are doing for PolyFest in term 3 2013.

Reuben paterson

This tearm we have been looking at reuben Paterson art , Rueben Paterson is a famous New Zealand artist , he is famous for his Maori and pacifica patterns and often uses glitter in his art so we decided to try that and we think it turned out pretty good.
